Frequently asked questions

Quick answers for setup, usage, and analytics.

What happens when someone clicks my WAME link?
When a visitor opens your short link (example: wame.live/support), WAME logs the click (analytics) and then redirects the visitor to WhatsApp using wa.me, with your number and pre-filled message.
How do I choose a good brand name (short code)?
Keep it short and easy to remember: brand name, campaign, or keyword. Example: support, sales, offers. Slugs allow: a-z, 0-9, hyphen (-), underscore (_).
Why do some clicks show no referrer?
If a user types the link directly, opens it from some apps, or privacy settings block referrer headers, referrer will be blank. This is normal and expected.
What are “Unique Clicks”?
Unique clicks usually mean “first click from a visitor” (commonly based on IP/device fingerprint logic). Repeat visits count as total clicks but not unique. This helps you estimate real visitors.
Can I edit or disable a link later?
Yes. Open your link from Dashboard → tap Open/Edit → update the number/message or disable the link. Disabled links won’t redirect until you activate them again.
